I have terrible service in my house and always have to go outside to make a phone call. Since GV+Sprint I've just been making phone calls through my computer while at home. Love that. However, when I'm out and about I would like to make wifi calling when I only have WiFi. For ex: I was in a hospital the other day where they provded free WiFi in certain areas; but, there was no phone signal in those corresponding areas. I could not make a phone call. (I could, again thanks to GV+Sprint, send SMS since I had WiFI.)
How does the SIP calling on the nexus work? I understand (Have not tried) the process of setting up and account, etc. But when I make a phone call from my phone on WiFi through SIP will it display my Sprint number or is it going to display something else when I call a phone? Also, will I be able to receive calls through SIP where my Sprint number was dialed?
Or is this just for international calling stuff really?
Also, what's a good free SIP account?
