Nearly constant Bluetooth Pop Up Reminder

I have a week old Pixel C with latest updates. I have bluetooth turned off (I don't use the keyboard, just have it in a sleeve).

I get up a frequent, though seemingly, random, modal bluetooth pop up message telling me that to connect keyboards, I need to turn on Bluetooth.

I have found no way to turn this notification off. It's very interruptive and it seems dumb anyway. I turned bluetooth off, duh, I know I need to turn it on to use a bluetooth device.

Without more information, I'm going to say the sleeve you have has a magnet for smart lock, and its got a thin cover (which probably folds into a triangle as a stand like the Apple Smart covers). The magnet in the cover is too strong and when you flip the cover behind the tablet, it thinks you're attaching the keyboard, which needs Bluetooth on. You probably need to switch to a different case. I did when my first case (which was most likely similar to yours), and my new one doesn't do that anymore.
