Need a good app to edit and make word files.

I bought Quickoffice when it was on sale for $9.99. It works just fine. DocsToGo is another one. I believe that in order to create or edit, you are going to need to purchase. I am unaware of any free products that allow for this functionality.

Dear Anthony,

If you previously purchased software for a prior platform such as Palm OS unfortunately this software would not be transferrable to an Android powered device due to compatibility reasons, nor do we offer a cross platform discount. If you wanted compatible software on the Android platform this would require you purchasing a compatible application either from the Android Market or through our website. For more information please see the below link:
Reinstall or Reactivate Software on a New Device

The software is currently on sale through our website and in the Android Market for $14.99 (typically $29.99)

does quickoffice allow formatting and have a spellcheck?

Check out OfficeSuites. Has a 30 day trial and I like them. I'm still on the trial but once that is up, I'll get the full version. I would of went with Docs2go but no trial, just a basic version and I wanted to see what it can and can't do. But OfficeSuites did the trick for me.

latest reviews are bad though about installing the file...liked the demo though...just don't know...

I don't like the holier attitude of dataviz.

True. I have seen some bad reviews about it but I still have like 15 days left on it and then I'll try to full version, if it doesn't work, I'll ask for a refund. I used to have docs2go for my BB and it was nice and I had the ability to try the full version before buying it.

Ah, haven't tried that yet. But QuickOffice, I have issues with password protected files. Doesn't show up.

docs to go sees the image.
can't test the pinch to zoom if it's there but docs to go is quicker at opening files.
I am going with docs to go....I think lol

After 11 minutes and not activating I got a refund on D2G.

I then emailed them. I tried again and it went through.

They emailed back saying since you bought it in the market and not from us we will not support it.

Love the app....really really do.....but DV can shove it. If officesuites didn't have that jpeg issue, I would have went with that, but D2G does open the files faster.

I have docs to go I like it but I am not happy that you only have 15 minutes to decided on getting a refund. this has been discussed before but this horrible customer service. I think we should have 48 hours to try out an application, especially when it is costly.

I do hate that 15 min rule. I will see about the office app and hope that it works well. I saw the Zoom tablet, and can not wait for that to come out. Note taking should be real easy with that size of a screen

It does support format and for spell check it using the native app. From what I have seen so far, it is every bit as good as D2G and I was able to buy it $5 less than what D2G is when it is on sale.

Does any one know if the open office project is going to port to android?

There is too much here to sift to in a short period of time. Knock yourself out! At first glance, it looks like they may be working on it but I did not read very deep.
