Need a way to downgrade back to android 2.2

I WILL NEVER UPGRADE AGAIN! The android 2.3.3 software update is complete garbage, I hate it so much because of all the issues it caused my phone from the phone kicking me out of my texts and taking me to the delete by selection screen all the way to decreased signal strength and noticeable laggyness. Is there some way i can downgrade the phone back to 2.2 or root it. The ace hack kit refuses to run on any of my computers, even though i followed the instructions exact. I am on my 3rd inspire about to go to my 4th. Any help is appreciated here.

AT&T is about to push out an update for the Inspire, lsee if that fixes anything first.

Its gonna be an at&t version of the evo update and the ace hack kit is a little sketchy you gotta go through sub folders

Ok the new ota update fixes the sms bug I've been seeing it in multiple threads

yes it does, it also fixes numerous other bugs. I would try upgrading to the newest software and if you still don't like it then root it and downgrade.

Well there's a rooted rom for it already on xra I tried it not too impressed bit its still a nice improvement
