Need assistance - Not getting notified from wife's calendar invites

My wife and I each have Moto X's. We do not share calendars nor do we want to. When she sends me an invite I don't get a notification email although the invite shows up in my calendar as an outline until I accept it. If I test using my work account and send an invite to myself I get an invite that I can accept or decline. If I send my wife an invite she gets an invite she can accept or decline. I can't figure out why it doesn't work when she sends me an invite though. Is there a setting on her side that she may be missing?

Disregard this thread. I figured out the problem. It was in my Google Calendar settings but not on the phone.
