Need contacts from old destroyed device transferred to new device.

I need help my phone was destroyed in an accident involving a lake I bought new phone but need my contacts from old phone is there hope or is it a lost cause?

If you logged in with Google and had them sync to the Google Cloud, then once you login on your phone with Google, they will automatically sync.

They automatically back up to Google unless you didn't have sync enabled.

Personally I'm on Verizon and they've been backing up contacts for like a decade with backup assistant, now know as Verizon cloud. Google and Verizon have mine, no effort on my part.

Welcome to Android Central. To add to what others have posted, if the contacts were only saved on the phone then they are gone. Sorry.

dry up your phone if you have rice at home leave it in for days then try to boot it up.. if not physically damaged
