I am not sure whats been going on lately but I am in a unique situation...

1. YouMail Server is down
2. Verizon VVM reports no longer supported on TB
3. BAMF Forever 1.10 and many other I tried recently doesn't have stock VVM app installed
4. Verizon's forum page appears to have issue, believe its been hacked - So no answers there

Basically I have no way to get me VVM or get a response on how to fix this..

Basically when all said and done, can someone direct me to a custom rom with Sense 3.0 and working stock VVM application?

Thanks for any help....

That is strange that "VVM is no longer supported on Thunderbolt" ... ?!?!? Is that right?

Either way, allow me to also recommend Google Voice over Verzion's VVM anyway, I've been using it for a while and it's free and much better.

See my response in a similar thread about setting it up if you're interested:

My apologies if this doesn't help you.

It's working fine for me on the factory OTA ROM. AFAIK, there is no "Visual Voicemail" app per se. Just the normal "Voice Mail" app/widget. If you select the Voice Mail app, you should be able to tap the capacitive Menu key and have the option to "Subscribe". Then follow the instructions and your standard VM will be converted into "Enhanced Voice Mail". I don't think Verizon ever actually calls is "Visual" Voice Mail. Afterward, the choice becomes "unsubscribe".

I think I need to clarify a bit... The VVM at https://market.android.com/details?...SwxLDEsImNvbS52encudnZtLmFuZHJvaWRjbGllbnQiXQ.. wont install on TB any longer for some reason when I use to use it all the time..

As for the original app, it isn't installed on a number of roms and there isn't any way to place it back on because its not on market..

As for Google Voice, Thanks but I tried it a while back and did not like the interface and decided on Better YouMail because I liked it better but recently its been going down regularly so I am forced to another option..

I installed Thunderstick rom for now but it isnt a final solution for me but it has VVM original functioning..

Yes. Disappointing. This type of thing is exactly why I remain on the factory ROM. I really like the current factory ROM. There are other similar things missing from most aftermarket ROMs.

Glad you found a solution.

Like what? Vvm is just about the only thing have ever seen missing.

I just backed up a VVM app version that was included with a ROM I had flashed (don't remember which ROM , the app is called "Voicemail 1.1"). I have successfully used this same VVM app on many different ROMs. Currently, it's working like a charm on Gingeritis 3D v1.2, my opinion the best ROM ever for the bolt. Try backing the app up from ThunderStick and restoring it to the ROM of your choice. Be advised that I have never been able to get VVM working on any Sense 3.5 ROM, but this app I mentioned does work on most Sense 3.0 and all Sense 2+ ROMs I have flashed. Grab a copy of Titanium Backup and give it a go.

Verizon's Voicemail, Verizon's Mobile Hotspot, My Verizon and Blockbuster are some that are missing or don't work. NFL Football won't work. I know there's more but I can't remember 'em all right now. I also don't remember which is missing or inop on what ROMs. But this type of thing is one thing that puts me off about third party ROMs. Also, I like Sense, so the vanilla ROMs aren't for me anyway.

Don't want to have a root verses don't root battle. I know how happy many people are with rooting/ROMs. That's good. I'm just not interested... yet. We'll see what develops with the new unlocked bootloaders and ICS though. I still may be a candidate. Just depends.

Not looking for that battle but all those work for me on the past 3 or 4 ROMs. Vvm is the only one that might not. It's inferior to google voice though thank heavens.

I would never push anyone to root. There aren't things missing. There is only added value.
