So here is her situation and there might not be a fix. Wife has a problem when on the phone, the way she holds it on her shoulder....she hangs up on people. We have the circle case but even with having to drag the end button she still has the issue. I found an app where it locks screen during call...great but not with circle case. You have to open the case to unlock then answer call waiting which isn't easy when driving. Would be awesome if this would lock screen but still let you answer call waiting.

Any help or advise or is she SOL :-)

Have you tried locking the screen after the call connects? Just clicking the power button like you would to turn the screen off.

It turns off the screen until you move the proximity sensor from your face then turns on again

Right, but that doesn't lock the screen like clicking the power button.

Just tested...if you use the power button to manually turn off the screen instead of letting the proximity sensor do it, moving it away from your face won't turn it back on

I tested it out. If I double tap the screen to turn off or hit the power button on rear, the screen still turns on once I take it away from face

It just seems strange that the power button doesn't override that.

Use speakerphone with dashmount holder? Bluetooth earphone?

I love the LG Tone plus for phone calls. Bluetooth simplicity, with a volume loud enough that I can hear voices clearly over the roar of a diesel engine. I also sound clear to the caller. Phone stays in pocket or dash or desk, never pick it up for calls. I highly recommend!
