******NEED HELP******* GS3 suddenly shut off wont turn on again.

Did you notice your phone restarting randomly in the days or weeks leading up to this? My Verizon S3 was randomly restarting for about a week and a half before it finally gave up. No charger response? either. The motherboard had just failed for no reason. Samsung replaced the board for free and mailed it back. It took 2-3 weeks.

How long have you had the phone?

It's about to be a year next week actually, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to do anything with it either. I'm hoping that the cause isn't water damage otherwise the warranty will be void. :/

I don't think she was even able to get into recovery

So is it booting now?

I finally got it to boot with the rom that i wanted. but now it continuously pops up with a message that says "unfortunatly the process com.android.phone has stopped"
don't have a clue. I reset app permissions in settings while phone was on, i factory reset the device, still happens.

It had been doing that a while ago, but it just stopped about a month ago so I figured i shouldn't worry about it. Is it still possible that is the cause?

What ROM is it and did u let it sit for 10 mins after u installed the rom. If u mess with it before 10 mins u will get a lot of errors

Based on the scenario it could be water or heat damage. but unless you actually dropped in water at any point in time, it isn't water damage. Also on the GS3, there is 2-3 spots for them to check for water damage. unlike older phones there was only one. People would damage the side without the indicator and get a free phone out of it. they stopped that real quick. lol

No after it loads up the ROM u can't touch it for 10 mins. While its in a boot loop its not doing anything but attempting to load the ROM.
