Need Help! Note Edge Shut off, Won't Turn back on and won't seemingly Charge!

Have had my Note Edge on Verizon since April. I was in the process of texting a friend of mine when my phone just shut off. No Samsung shutdown screen. Just cut off. Phone isn't hot. It's plugged in to the wall charger now, in hopes that it's the battery. The battery was at 30%. So I don't know what it is. I'm still on KitKat, didn't update to Lollipop because of all the reported bugs. My phone is just cold. Even with the charger connected, the phone is still cold. I pray that my phone isn't bricked! Need assistance ASAP, please! Thank you for any advice.

Charge it on a wall outlet for at least 4 hours, then try powering on by pressing and holding the Power button for about 10 seconds. If it doesn't turn on, then the motherboard may have failed. Is the phone still under warranty? If so, bring it to your Verizon store and see if they can help you with a replacement. You might have to deal directly with Samsung.
 
I just came back from the Verizon store. They troubleshot the phone and checked to see if it was the battery. Wasn't that. So I went to Best Buy (where I bought the phone) and they determined it was either the digitizer or the mother board gave way. So, since the phone is still under warranty and I have insurance on the phone, Verizon will overnight a brand new phone tomorrow. I thank you for the reply!

Sweet! Are you getting the Edge again? My friend tried to replace hers a bit ago and the insurance didn't have any in stock and offered her a Note 4 instead. Can't say that would appeal to me.

Yes. I was shocked just how personable and helpful the Verizon corporate story employees were. Then again, the account is almost 20 years old, so they are treating me and my grandma's/mom's account like gold. I have never had any issues with them before, so that is a big plus. And the fact that they are shipping a brand new phone from their warehouse in Texas is just the icing on the cake.

Yep. If i have to go in person I go to the corporate store. I'm luckily a small town Verizon user so it's nice knowing every face and knowing the manager tries pretty hard to have knowledgeable and TRAINED staff
