Need help please!!!

I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I've been trying to install the new 3.70.651.1 update and every time it fails. I then tried to do a manual update by downloading the file, renaming it to update.zip and installing it through recovery mode. Well, when I get to recovery mode it says "ClockworkMod Recovery". I'm guessing that the person I bought this phone from modded it? So, I select the option applysdcard:update.zip and it still fails. I'm guessing this has to do with this clockwork mod? Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get the phone back to its original settings so I can apply the new update. Thanks!!!!

Once you are stock you can just update over the air that way you will be fully stock.

That would do it, if you want to unroot and use the 3.70 RUU.

I feel it's as much effort to flash a custom ROM with 3.70. If I were you, I would do that. If your not comfortable being rooted just use the RUU in the thread poster above. Then go to menu/settings/system updates/chose HTC software updates and let your EVO ota update.

I flashed using the Sprint Lovers ROM you linked and it works great. Thanks for the info.
