Hello all,

I have 6 total people on my account and I thought it would be wise to have a backup phone incase something happens to someone's phone. 5 out of 6 have iPhone's and one has a RAZR M. I was wondering what is a good backup phone for android? I am mainly looking for the best bang for the buck and is OFF CONTRACT. I have thought about the Galaxy Nexus (especially with the new 4.4 ROM that is out).

Here is some info about what I am looking for:

- We are on Verizon
- I would like for it to be 4G
- HD display
- Front camera and a decent/good back camera
- Price range: I really didn't want to go above $150 (off contract)

Any suggestions? Thanks!

honestly the Moto X or the Nexus 5 is the best phones out there now if you get it you wont want it to be your backup phone you will want it to be your main phone lol

I have been trying for that Moto X cyber deal but I worked all the days they have offered it so far and I will work next Monday lol! I have been eying that Moto X (I have an iPhone 5) but I dunno if I want to fully jump ship just yet. My last android was Droid X.

Poor recommendation. The Nexus 5 is compatible with Verizon, however, Verizon business strategy is not compatible with Nexus 5 (in other word, the N5 doesn't work with Verizon). Moto X is $350 off contract, the camera is average for its price, not as good as the N5, and that's still $200 more than you're looking to spend.

Unless Verizon decide to support the Moto G, which have poorer camera than the Moto X even, but I predict Verizon will not support it.

There is nothing that fit your requirements at $150 off contract. The closest I can think of is a used Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

i would absolutely love to get the Moto X or the Nexus 5 but idk which to pick between
