So I was using a calendar-like app that I was recording journal entries in. An account with the app was never required so my entries wouldn't have been saved if the app was ever deleted (as far as I know. There may have been a time that I saved the entries to my phone through the app because it had this as an option, but I don't know if I ever did). Well, today I accidentally deleted it after transferring my photos and videos from my phone to my laptop and factory reset my phone and wiped out my SD card before realizing my mistake. I'm confused about retrieving apps or anything off my SD card (that is currently empty). Is it possible for me to get that app back with my existing entries? Is this what rooting would achieve? I did download the app again and my stuff is gone. I just want to know if they're gone forever or if there is ANYTHING I can do to get them back
