Need help with fastboot/recovery

I can't get my evo 4g into recovery....

I am currently running the most recently released nightly of cm7 with the most current version of CWM recovery

every time i try to get into recovery (no matter what method i use) it takes me to the fastboot menu....

How do i fix this issue and what do i need to do to get into recovery?

PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!!

Sounds like you need to reflash your recovery. I recommend switching to Amon_RA's recovery. All you need is a PC36IMG.zip file that you can flash in bootloader, and that should get you going again.
