I have an LG G Pad 7.0 Tablet. Under Settings/Lock Screen, I have checked the Show Widgets and the Customize Shortcuts, but cannot get them to show on my Lock Screen.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! What shows up on the lockscreen--only the clock and the screen unlock method? Can you swipe down the screen unlock to hide it?

Are you using a secure lockscreen (PIN, password, etc.)? If so, these won't show. They only show up if you use a non-secure lockscreen (like Swipe to unlock).

Thanks to both of you. B. Diddy had helped me out a lot at the beginning. (Only had an Android for two weeks.) SpookDroid: I did have a PIN. I deleted it, enabled Swipe, and it works. But I'm wondering if the convenience of having some shortcuts is greater than the security of the PIN!!!??? :-\

I, personally, don't use a secure lockscreen on my personal phone but do on my work phone. So it's up to you to decide that haha I've been bashed by many for not using a secure lockscreen, and I get the point, but to me the ease of unlocking faster is better than fiddling with passwords or fingerprints because my phone requires me to swipe the finger to unlock. If my phone had the iPhone-like tap fingerprint reader that the S6 is getting, then I'd probably DO use a secure lockscreen on all my phones.

I have a PIN on my Lumia 830 and my iPad. I am always "on-the-move" and travel. Since I have the same favorite apps on the bottom of my Start screen, I'm leaning towards the PIN on my Android tablet.

Thanks for being gracious with your time and counsel.
