Need help with screen dimming

Whenever I put my S4 in the car dock, the phone does recognize it is in the dock. I also use the developer option for it to Stay Awake while charging. The problem is, even though I have Stay Awake checked, the screen still dims. It doesn't go to sleep, but the dimming makes it difficult to see any apps open at the time. This isn't app specific, it will dim on every app or even just the home screen if no apps are open.

If anyone knows of a setting I need to use to keep this dimming from happening I would be very grateful.

Do you have Power Saving Mode on? How to Make Your Galaxy S4 Battery Last Longer - LAPTOP Magazine

If that's not the issue, maybe try Dim Lock?

Nope, I already turned the power saving mode off. I'll give that Dim Lock a try, see if it can do anything.
