Hi

Just got a an Acer R13 and am looking for help and advice on several points.

1) I have setup Smart Lock and it doesn't work. I have also chosen Password or Pin as my login method and only ever get the Password option. If i can't get the SL to work i at least hope the Pin option will appear. So any help with SL or getting at least the Pin to be an option would be appreciated.

2 Is there any way to make a Settings Icon that i can add to my Apps?

3) Is there any way to make a Shutdown Icon that i can add to my Apps?

4 I'm getting some Cubing/ Pixelation in Netflix. Downloading the video seemed to help, but my internet is good so not sure what it's not great when streaming. Any ideas?

Thanks and much appreciated.

Hi there. Merry Christmas.

I am not sure why you are having those issues. Sometimes SL doesn't work between my Pixel and Pixelbook. You have to make sure the phone is unlocked for it to activate.

Sometimes it makes you input the password to activate SL working on the device. In that case it is the password and not the PIN. It took me ages to work that out.

Have you tried using the PIN at login? What happens?

Bring up the App Drawer, right click the Settings icon, then Pin To Shelf.

3) Is there any way to make a Shutdown Icon that i can add to my Apps?

This isn't possible, as far as I can tell. Rely on the physical Power button (either on the keyboard or the side of the device).

Does this happen on any wi-fi network, or only yours? Remember that internet speeds can still slow down periodically, especially if other people at home are using it heavily.

Hi

Thanks for all replies.

Reagrding the pixelation it seems to be only on some shows like The Witcher whereas others seem ok.
My internet is not the issue, but something to do with Chromebook and Netflix. I can watch much higher res videos in Youtube no issue.

Does pixelation happen on both the Netflix Android app and the website?
