I have a Nexus 6P currently. The thing is getting sluggish, and the battery is starting to weaken, and honestly I'm just tired of carrying around a huge slab. Thing I'm noticing now with all flagship phones is that A. they're all huge. and B. none have removable backs.

I'm looking for a flagship quality phone under 5 inches with a removable back so I can swap out the battery. SD card is also a must. Preferably with a fingerprint sensor and usb-c as well. Is there anything out there or coming like this or is everyone making basically the same phone now?

I am sorry to say that you are out of luck.
Small size screens are very limited.
Only Sony makes a sub 5 inch screen device that is any good. And it has a sealed battery as well.
Good luck with your search.

I've been looking at the xz1 compact... but ugh, sorry but it shouldn't be $600. I might bite though

It doesn't have a removable battery but the BlackBerry KEYone has a large battery with long life and is vastly different from the typical slab of glass. It's not exactly small but smaller than quite a few 5"+ slabs.

"Flagship" is such a difficult term to define in the smartphone world. Everyone has different needs regardless of what happens to be a manufacturer's supposed "top" device.

Yea but even though the KEYone has a 4.5 inch screen.... the overall device is big considering the physical keyboard under that screen
