Need original Amazon Kindle reader apk for Fire

I stupidly updated my rooted Fire with the Amazon Kindle app from the Android Marketplace/Google Play. Now, I realize, I cannot read my Amazon-Prime-borrowed books.

Can someone please post (or PM a link) to the original reader app apk?

Connie: I figured out my problem. I don't know if you did the same thing as me to delete your native reader app. (I accidentally installed Kindle for Android over it.) I went to the app in the Play Store for amazon kindle, unchecked automatically update, and then in my app manager under Amazon Kindle, I clicked uninstall updates, or something like that. It restored all my settings, and also my personal documents I was all of a sudden unable to access. Hope this helped.:D

if you found a solution you should posted it. now there are a few of us here seeking the solution you found and we have to beg you for it?? not cool man... :mad:

The problem is if you have another android device for which you installed the Kindle app, Google will send an Update Notice to your Kindle Fire. If you accidently install the update, the way to fix it is to go to the Google app store and go to My Apps and uninstall the Kindle Reader app from your Kindle Fire. How to get it to stop trying to update your Kindle Fire is another problem.
 
es muy simple,
1. copiar el contenido de la carpets Documents a otra carpeta
2. borrar el contenido de la carpeta Docoments
3. ir a Google Play, a la pagina de Amazazon Kindle
4. desinstalar el apk

Todo listo

copiar los archivos a la carpeta Documents

Muchas gracias, me funcion? de maravilla. No hace falta instalar nada.

English steps:

1. Copy the content of "Documents" folder to another directory. (Backup).
2. Remove the content of "Documents" folder.
3. Go to kindle's page in google play.
4. Uninstall the app. (The button status changes to "Update").
5. Return to kindle fire home and this must sync.

It's not necessary to install the stock reader apk
 
could somebody please post another link to the stock kindle Fire. kindle app. pretty please and thank you
 
You DON'T NEED THE LINK. It's been said several times. You simply uninstall it, then it returns to normal. Seriously, go to app management and "uninstall updates" is an option. Make sure to go to Google Store and uncheck the update box.

If you need further prodding the kindle app is in your system/apps folder. It's called something like otokindle. Can't recall the exact name but it's there.
