I have finally made the decision to switch from an AT&T iPhone 4 to a Verizon Android phone.

I have been on an individual plan on AT&T for the past year and I can actually get better service (more features) at a cheaper price due to the fact that the rest of my family is on a family share plan on Verizon.

I also want to jump on the Verizon-band-wagon ASAP so I can reserve my Unlimited Data for future phones.

I am also very interested in 4G. My area has amazing 4G coverage (according to my friends and the official coverage maps).

I also want a phone that holds high community interest/development/support. Even though this is my first Android phone, I am well aware of the many community supported projects that exist for Android Phones (Cyanogenmod 7, for example). I want a phone that will hold itself in the future and won't be "lost and forgotten" very quickly. If I am going to spend $250+ on a new phone, I want to make sure it is the best phone I can get (what I want)... I also want a phone that has decent hardware and won't be extremely out-dated in a year from now...

The phone I am really looking at closely is the HTC Thunderbolt. However, the reports of rebooting/GPS Issues/Poor Battery Life/ are HUGE turn-offs for me...

Any suggestions/comments/ideas? Thanks!!!

As of right now, Revolution by LG, Droid Charge by Samsung and Thunderbolt by HTC are the three choices to have 4G LTE on Verizon. Take a look at the forums for each phone and see what people are saying about it. That's the best way to find out about bugs, over-all phone usability, etc. Also, be sure to stop by Verizon to use the phones and figure out which one suits your needs in terms of size, use, appearance, etc.

Also take a look at the great reviews AC does with video hands on. Good luck on your choice :)
