Need Some Help - ROM Development

Hey guys. I'm not 100% sure if this is the right place for this, but I figure you can throw me to the correct place if its not.

I'm trying to get into ROM Development. I have a pretty large amount of programming experience, however it has been a little bit of time since I've done any of it. That being said, it shouldn't be too difficult for me to get back into.

I found a few threads in xda, and a couple of videos, but nothing seems to be a really complete guide. I was wondering if you guys had any links to any of these, or any place you can send me that I might be able to start learning what I need to start.

Theres a thunderbolt irc chat, you can find info about it over at tbolt android dev sub forum at xda. That's probably your best bet.
