hahaha.....
If no trouble to you, i would really love to read your review later, really appreciate it.
Sure. (

get it? Sure?)
Model: Shure I2C-M
So they came in ~ a week ago. Gotta love buying on ebay when the person is somewhat local.
The pair I bought was < $20 on ebay. The guy said they were "new", but they really didn't seem "new". I know Shure provides a carrying case and extra tips. This set just came in a plastic baggy. I cleaned the tips with alcohol and went along with my business. I can't complain for the price.
The tips included are kinda small for me. I don't know what size they are considered, but I had to switch to a bigger pair of tips to get a decent seal. I happen to have extras from my other headset. Once I got the right fit, the I2C-M sounds fine. Not "knock you on your ass" great - but fine. I'm not an audiophile - they don't sound as good as my UE's (mostly bass response), but for a set of mobile headphones, they are fine. Putting bass aside, the weak link when listing to music (mp3s) on this phone is likely the phone and compression within the mp3. When I plug them up to my computer, there is more of a difference between the Triple.Fi's and the Shure's....but honestly - who buys a pair of $20 headphones and tries to hear reverb tails and such?
There is no physical volume adjustment, no mute button, etc. For example, my Triple.Fi's have a button I can use to do voice commands. Not having it kinda sucks honestly as I use that to move back/forward in my mp3 playlists. My old set of Shure's have a volume adjustment that is very crappy/staticy. So this is a plus. I wouldn't mind at least having a mute button.
I've not had any complaints w/ the microphone, but I don't talk on my phone very often - I'm a texter/emailer.
---------------------------------------------------------
Pros:
+ Cheap
+ Sound pretty good (especially for the price)
+ Decent isolation if you have the right tips
+ Comfortable (though I'm used to wearing headphones like these)
Cons:
- Missing accessories (Case, tips, etc..). I assume all the current ebay sellers will be the same. There are quite a few people selling these things.
- No mute or voice command buttons
- You'll need to buy more tips if the stock tips don't fit you.
If you go this direction, you should look into getting
foam tips
Foam tips w/ these style headphones are a must (IMO). Even the hard silicone tips are good. The little rubber ones they come with work, but I don't really like them. Also - it takes some time to get used to wearing IEM style headphones. They go pretty deep in your ear. If you get a good seal, you're pretty isolated from hearing anything. You'll start wondering "Do I really breath that loud?".
