Need to access /data folder on Droid X without knowing PIN code

Hey guys,

I have a dilemna. I have a phone that my ex used and has set a PIN code on it, refusing to tell me what it is. I'm trying to get pictures of my daughter off the phone. The phone is not rooted, and is running the latest Verizon build of Froyo. I installed ADB and can access the phone, but cannot "SU" or browse into the /data folder.

I'm mostly just wanting the pictures off of it, but would love to disable the lock code, if that's possible, as well. My hope was to move the pictures to the SD card and then copy them to my computer.

Is this possible, and what is the best way? I don't want to risk losing the photos, and don't know if I can root a phone if I don't know the PIN code to unlock it.

Take out the SD card and either use another phone or use a computer with SD card reader to access the files.

Yeah, typically photos are stored on the SD card, so you don't have to mess with the phone itself for those.
