need to flash my X back to verizon

I had my X flashed to metro, "what a mistake that was" so im trying to go back to verizon but while trying to activate the phone by dialing *228 i still get the metro prompt,is there any recovory file out there?? Hopefully some one can help.

Not sure if flashing an SBF would work but I would go ahead and try that.
