Need to re-format microSD to 64gb

Hello. I'm having major trouble trying to re-format my micro SD card to 64gb. My micro SD has been formatted to about 3.6gb because I wanted to use it for my Nook HD. Is there anyway I can re-format it to 64gb so that I can use it for my Galaxy S3?

No, I'm on Win 7 and the micro SD is a 64gb
