Soo I successfully rooted my fascinate and have rom manager on it and tried to load a "super clean rom" onto it ... No success there. When it gets to the screen where it's installing the one I downloaded from the ad update thing it says it is aborted or something crazy.... Am I dumb lol

hey kyla,

where did you get the downloads ?
where are you installing from, blue or green recovery boot?
where did you place the rom?

just a little more detailed so we can help you out

Sounds to me like Clockwork hasn't been installed yet. See the sticky in the roms/hacks forum for that, then you can flash a custom rom

Oh boy... Rem I downloaded rom manager and just selected download rom and let it kinda just do it's own thing and selected stuff when it prompted me.. Oops haha didn't install clockwork

ok lets go over the steps kyla, you have rooted, titanium backed up, you downloaded rom manager, hit flash clockwork recovery., donwloaded the rom and put it on the root of your SD card..... have you done all these things so far?


also did you flash the clockwork via odin first ? prior to downloading rom manager?

why would she have to flash the DJ05 modem, Super clean is DI01

Welcome! I think you have run into an experience similar to mine. I tried installing ROMs before I had completed all the steps too. Then I really screwed up and messed with VooDoo. But that's another story.

I can only stress that you are in capable, experienced, & gentle hands here. These good folks will help you to the fullest extent possible. Just tell them everything they need to know and you will be breezing thru this in no time.

I didn't hit flash clock work I do have a file manager but didn't download it to the root of my sd I don't think I just downloaded it and assumed it was there :/ I'm not sure I remember what Odin is

Follow the link I left in the last reply pretaining to your situation I left that says "clockwork recovery" and follow those directions. If you dont remember what odin is you didnt use it.....odin is a leaked samsung internal tool for programming their phones. You will need this tool to grt clockwork running properly. And if your phone ever does crazy Odin will come to the rescue

Awww, come on. When the phone goes crazy is the best part. I use to have a Droid that started opeing applications on it's own, and randomly text people and call people. I seriously thought my phone was haunted and really messed with the Verizon Tech's mind when she saw it. But in the case of turning your phone into a $300 paper weight, Odin is definatley you friend.

Im leaving work and going home now, if you run into any trouble kyla this file , using odin will get you back to stock,,and i mean fully stock brand new phone unrooted and all
