why is my color real bad? i dont mind the green bar but my picture quality is real bad

The color is real back because your not running CM7. They have diff settings within the build for LCD density and such. I don't know any more than that tho. So try CM7 and u will be fine.. but IMO, Reborn is worth having over quality netflix

CM7 is a diff style ROM. Its a cayanogen mod.. check out Scott Pilgrims CM7 ROM... then u will know what im speakin of. Its not as good for battery life etc... but has a diff look and feel and has a diff. LCD config....its a port

Mine opens and says needs to be updated and then cnnt find update and closes, vicious cirlce, best progress so far though, any suggestions? TB running CM7

Reborn Rom not in Rom manager booo have to wait til I get home but I see a previous post saying the reason another user had horrible color because they were not running cm7 but I'm running cm7 and am having this update netflix issue, is there maybe another apk without the device check I can try?

The new APK removes the device check, however it doesn't seem to want to work on my phone. It opens then right before logging in is says:

ERROR - Please make sure that your device has network connectivity and the Date and Time settings are accurate.

Editing the build.prop does not have any effect on how the application "runs." I'll have to keep messing around with settings and build.prop edits to see if it changes for the better. Is anyone else seeing this same issue?

There's been an update. you must download it from the market. Edit the build.prop to reflect other info and download.

The netflix-devicecheck-disabled.apk no longer works because as jondevere says, Netflix updated their app. The XDA post has an apk that works, and several that don't. Use com.netflix.mediaclient-2.apk (the very first link).

Im using the same file and it works fine on my stock Optimus S, both in 3G and WiFi. It does however have the green bar and I think the volume is a bit low.

Reporting back...

I'm on Optimus S with Sprint running RebornRom v2.1. I installed the "com.netflix.mediaclient-2.apk" which is the updated 1.2.1. Initially after install I ran the app via 3G and it would give the error message about network connectivity and date/time. Later that day, I ran the app again via wifi and it works!

However, there is the annoying green bar at the top of the screen, but still watchable. Today, I was able to run the app via 3G without any problems aside from the green bar.

Yes... due to updates from netflix the old HACKED apk doesn't work. This is why I still just edit my build.prop Then I can get updates on a non HACKED apk. just a personal preference, but I would rather have the market app if its a possibility.
