I have changed the build.prop using "Nexus S" (product.model) and "samsung" (product.manufacturer). Same issue using the "HTC" coding.

I also deleted the netflix app and reinstalled it this AM (5/15).

I am still getting the following message after approximately 6-7 minutes of problem free playing of a film:

"Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists please visit netflix.com (1011).

Running CM 7.0.3 (stable) from my Transcend class 6 8 gig card.

What is the cause and the cure?

Many thanks in advance.

Are you sure your connected to a wifi network? Sounds silly, but when I turn on my nook with CM7, I have to manually turn on wifi and connect everytime. Netflix won't work without a connection.

im have the same or very similar problem i find that I lose my internet altogethere. I get the same error code, I'm connected to wifi (that has working internet connection), I just cant use the internet. resetting the connection fixes the problem but its annoying to have to do so every 15 minutes. See if that is the case for you aswell. Ill let you know if I find a solution.

ok so here is what I found that works. Boot into recovery mode like always perform back up, then clear cache reboot fixed it for me.

Yes...that is a definite!

I am becoming suspicious of some form of inconsistent wifi dropout as a/the cause.

One NF stops with the "Sorry..." message, and I close it, I have to close and open the wifi connection (which continues to present all green bars) or nothing (browser/e-mail) works.

Is that a temporary or permanent fix?

If it works for me, would it be something I need to do each time I would want to use NF???

So sick of idiots like you with inane suggestions that would insult the intelligence of cardboard. Is it that you just really really want to be involved? Look everybody I'm posting? Make sure you have your device turned on. That's the number one reason why Netflix fails to play on android tablets. I don't care that your post is 5 years old. If you don't have legitimate insight into something please don't bother.
