Netflix not yet compatible with Thunderbolt?! Rage.

I'll admit, being able to watch a movie or a T.V. show with the mobile device here and there would be nice.

But I've never understood why some people are so hell bent on watching movies on a tiny screen...

because i don't have my tv in my bathroom for those times i curse the makers of jackIntheBox BaconultimateCheeseburger. gotta do something for that hour i'm immobile :)

Messed with the Netflix app on my Incredible. Its a very nice app, simple to use, easy to navigate and buffers very fast over WiFi. Not able to try it over 3G since its not activated.

Cant wait for this to come to the TB.

This is usually my problem as well... except we don't have jackinthebox here. Insertotherfastfoodhere.

--why i could never move to Florida--

--how about, Hot N' Now burger? (if those are even still around)

seriously. TVShowsStream app has saved me from bored sooo many times when i'm not near a book or have to make a deposit to the FirstRegional Porcelain Palace Bank.

once Netflix becomes available, i'll be even more happy.

Hot 'n Now! I remember at least one of those opening somewhere around Orlando when I was a kid. It didn't last long and I was devastated.

On a similar note, I'd love to have Netflix for those days I end up eating lunch alone in my car at Sonic. There are a lot of those days.

i'm surprised, after seeing that the Netflix app has been ported to the original Droid, that it was only ported to those using a Gingerbread ROM

i wonder if just froyo on the OG-Droid can't handle it

Thought I would give Netflix a shot after the MR2 update, but it was unsuccessful. At least this time there is no DRM notification, just goes to a white screen then back to the Netflix home-screen. Hopefully it will be soon!

try this netflix apk

downloaded, installed (which replaced teh stock BAMF netflix .apk) and it works! i watched Salt on my TB running Bamf 2.0.5Remix

p.s. don't have to wipe any caches, mount anything as R/O or R/W,---- just install like any other .apk and then open the app.

a lot of people have gotten it to work using this particular apk

It's a no-go for me. Did the white screen then back to netflix homescreen. But I am not-rooted, stock.

I have a Slingbox built in my DISH Network box. Haven't really missed not having Netflix. Plus DISH offers the app for free unlike Slingbox for $29.99.

Sorry for the stupid question but you need to have a Netflix subscription to use the app, right?
It's not a "pay per movie" type deal that you don't have to join any contract, correct?

Right, you need to subscribe to a Netflix plan that includes streaming. There is one streaming only plan as well.

Yes, you need a Netlfix subscription, it is not a pay as you go per movie type of model. I have been a Netflix subscriber for a long time. It is only $8/mo. for streaming only. I watch movies via my Roku, and soon TB hopefully.

Do you have to be rooted or on GB for this?
