netflix screen on thunderbolt

just installed netflix on my thunderbolt. Everything plays fine, yet everything that I play is in a small box screen, Is there anything I can do to get netflix to play on the entire screen?

Not sure what to say. Mine goes right to full screen. Are you on the stock ROM?

all I did was download netflix in market,everything else original,

I'd try a power cycle or even power off and remove battery for a bit. See if that resets it. Otherwise, try uninstall/re-install the app. Not aware of any setting in the app that controls that. Once it starts to play, it should fill the entire screen.

powered it down and let it sit for awhile still just a box when I play it

That's really odd. If your stock and not rooted. By box do you mean its small and tiny.I would delete the app and re download

does it do it with all programs. For example if you start up iron man. You should get a full screen experience some old. programs may not do this

I went back and checked out Iron Man 2. It does have very slight black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. But that's the normal letterbox effect on some movies. Tried non-HD content (ex. Kids in the Hall) and it's in the old 4:3 aspect ratio (standard television) and has large bars on each side of the screen. So sounds like things are working normally. It just depends on the format of the content you're watching.
