I had installed the Nexflix app when it first came out from the market just to be able to edit my Q. Of course streaming didn't work as it came up with an unsupported device error.

But yesterday I updated the app and the streaming started working without any error messages. I am running CM7 on an SD card and I haven't done any of the prop.build modifications.

Yes...

Netflix has removed the Device Support check.

The update no longer checks to see what device you are running... so, if you have the hardware, work it does.

The current Netflix update (non-denominational!) seems to have corrected my issue of constantly dropping wifi which I experienced with the original NF app.

I redid the build.prop back to its original configuration and it works fine here at home and in two local B&N's.

Any update on getting HBO Go to work???

Thanks in advance.

Video looks great, but audio is very soft out of the Nook speaker. Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like the chipmonks

Just downloaded the netflix app on my nookcolor rooted with the xda maunal nooter for v1.2. The pic looks great but its playing in fastforword. And sounds like im watching Alvin and the chipmonks. Anyone else have this. Thanks

I also just downloaded netflix to my minirooter/manual nooter rooted 1.2. I don't have a picture and the sound is sped up. Anyone else have the same behavior?

Thanks in advance.

I needed to uninstall the modified Netflix program first and then reinstall the new Netflix. it would not uninstall with Market, used settings/applications instead..

Yeah, I needed to make the build.prop (HTC Vision) and reboot to get the correct speed. Unfortunately, this messed up downloading of a B&N book with the Nook app.

Edit: The downloading issue had nothing to do with the build.prop mod.

The built-in speaker is pretty small, which isn't unexpected considering the limited purpose of the device. If you're using CM7, you can use the DSPManager to enable an equalizer and a base boost to tweak the sound and make it a bit louder. It's still a bit soft, but acceptable. Another thing I've found that helps is to hold or prop up the Nook in front of something to reflect the sound back at you. The build in speaker is pointed to the rear, so even just holding your hand an inch or two behind the speaker can reflect the sound back towards you instead of away from you. Bit of a workaround, but considering what we're using an e-reader as a full Android tablet, it's nothing new.

Worked great for me ...

Running the current CM7 is without any fooling around at all.

The Nook sure is a fine platform and it looks like BN are ramping the price down a bit from their Ebay store listing.

Kudos to Netflix for just letting it go.

Pity there isn't a download option to use it on planes for those too lazy to rip DVDs.
