Network Unknown?

Hello folks, I am hoping someone can help shed some light on this. After rooting my phone (LG Optimus S), I noticed that the Network reflects "Unknown" (Menu-->Setting-->About phone-->Status). I figured this was normal based on some research made on this forum.

I have brought back the phone to stock (VD) including boot loader and I noticed the Network still reflects unknown under the Status section. Should it not reflect Sprint after the phone is brought back to stock? If so, any ideas on how to get it to state ?Sprint?. Aside from that minor observation, everything seems to be working fine. Thanks!

If you are on ZVD, that is normal and expected behavior.

On ZVH it should display "Sprint" normally.
