amazon app store is working fine an actually had an update to it since I installed .
I installed it when saw angry birds rio there. ha That was grand opening day ,just forgot the date.

That's the problem with DRM. Everything is linked to your Amazon account. If you aren't signed in, your apps won't work at all.
