Lol well thanks I think I will wait to do the rooting until after ICS is available for the Rezound. I'd like to go ahead and order the cases and screen protectors now so that I can use them as soon as we get the phones. Any suggestions? I drop my phone at least once daily, and keep it in my pocket constantly.

Oh and i called Verizon yesterday just to see if there were any discounts or anything available since I was choosing to stay with them and buying 3 Rezounds. I was very bluntly told, "No." 300$ per phone. Oh well lol

Otterbox all the way. I chose the Commuter version ($35), as I found the Defender to be a bit bulky, and I didn't need the belt clip it comes with. It also comes with a screen protector which works well and is not noticeable at all when the screen is on, but becomes visible when the screen is off. It's also prone to collecting your finger smudges, but so are all of them it seems.
And if you don't mind me suggesting, go ahead and root your phone. You can still get the ICS update from HTC as long as your backup the bloatware and reinstall it when it's time to update. Even if you delete it outright, there are still methods to return your phone to stock.

I tried putting things in my Amazon cart and it kept telling me I needed to change my plan. I then called them and they told me the only way I was gonna get "new customer" pricing through them was if I cancelled my Verizon service for at least 30 days. That's not gonna happen lol

I may try and call them at the end of the month and see what they can do for me over the phone without touching my existing plan.

I may try that. Is there a step by step tutorial for dummies?

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Being new to the droid family makes it look so overwhelming, especially to me. All this about rooting, unlocking Roms has made me crazy. Being a BB owner myself for over 4 years. I have the Nexus now, but not sure If keeping it yet still in my 2 week window. It seems to me the vibrate on this phone is almost none existant especially with a cover on it. Can someone chime in on the vibrate feature on the Rezound. Two other issues for me is the size. I can't use this phone with one hand and it doesn't fit in any pockets. Also the sound profiles for email and texts can't be seperated. I want a profile I can change at night to only ring for phone calls and text messages not e-mails, Is there an option for this in the Rezound. Any help would be appreciated.

Vibrate is strong enough to worry me that if I picked up the extended battery. My GF would want one and I spend more time playing solo, w/out a Rezound in my hand. Even encased in an Otterbox cocoon, I have yet to miss a call whilst running in silent mode.

Ok maybe too much information but I think what you're saying is that vibrate on the rezound is strong enough with an ottorbox. thanks

I hate to say this but if I can't figure out how to make the sytem fonts bigger I'm gonna have to jump ship again. This is a screenshot of my system fonts that you can't adjust. Can anyone out there help me figure out how to make them bigger.

Googled quickly. The solution seems to be go to the android market, and search for the app "Spare parts plus"

That allows you to change system wide font settings.

I will take a look at it. I went to market and found an app but it didn't work. I hope this works

I'll check real quick on my phone, I already downloaded to be sure it had the option lol.

EDIT: 0.0 it worked. Set font size to extremely large. It became extremely large LOL

I just tried and set for extremely large and nothing changed. In small print again I couldn't see, it says does not work on all devices. Damn
