Thanks for letting me join Android Central, it’s a privilege to be amongst you!!

I’m a recent Android convert from Philly, PA. In my free time I love to muck about my adopted hometown and engage in activities from biking the river trail, journaling in my favorite downtown coffee shops to building a Gundam kit at home on a dreary, rainy day.

The bulk of my research on the Android ecosystem had been via YouTube and the web but most of all this phenomenal website! Thank you for helping me prepare my transition from iPhone iOS. The process continues and appreciate the learning curve.

I’m still a diehard Machead and won’t abandon my Mac computers or iPad Pro. Had my hopes set on the Samsung phablets for quite some time and finally took the plunge on my first Android phone, the much anticipated Galaxy Note 8! I’m sure I’ll experience my fair share of nit picks using Android over time, yet I’m in awe of this software’s extensive customizing abilities which has wowed me during my years on the iPhone! I get a great sense that Android allows its users the flexibility to truly make their portable tech their very own.

I’m looking forward to making my new Android phone my daily driver and engaging with you fellow users in the process! Peace!

Welcome to Android Central! Do you prefer coffee places like Starbucks or mom and pop shops?

That it is Mike! Captain Scarlet still has a special place in my heart! Grateful to know a fellow Android user who remembers what a cool show that was!

Welcome to the forums! And enjoy your new Note 8 when it arrives! Let us know how you like it!

Warm Welcome to AndroidCentral @CapScarlet . Awesome to have you here with us. :)

Nothing wrong with loving some Apple products. They make some of the best hardware out there and I love my Macbook Pro. Wouldn't change it for anything else. Hope you enjoy your time here and hope to see you around the forums with your Galaxy Note 8! Never be shy to ask questions, even simple ones. We all have to start learning somewhere.

Hello Bill, welcome to the forums at Android Central!

Sent From Inside the TARDIS with my Note 8

Very excited to have the best of both worlds, Matty, Thanks! Been traveling around the Android Central site & the forums a lot this week! Without AC I would never had acquired the unlocked Note. When I bought an AT&T version a week prior I returned it out of 'Android panic.' 😂
I enjoy my Android phone as well as the learning curve from the universe it lives in!

STARGATE- Hope you got a Blue Note 8 to match your Blue Box 😎

I wish!
Only the ugly light purple and the black were available here.😣 So I got the black one; the other was more girly according to my wife and my kids.

I guess a blue skin could help, we'll see...
