Ignore my ramblings then. You will find the correct firmware on SamMobile in the section about "Check Firmware". Then follow Golfdriver's instructions about using ODIN.

Sorry, I crashed soon after my last reply. 6mackenzie4, if you flash a proper firmware, at least in my experience, it should remove the custom modification.

Another way to check your region code is to use Kies, which can be found on Samsung's website. Once you plug the device in, you should see what region it is from. Kies might also be able to restore the proper firmware version as well.
