New Android user with GS5- Compass?

Does the GS5 have a compass? I've read that it does and that it even has a barometer but I can't find these on the phone. My carrier is Verizon. Help appreciated.....

Try the free app GPS Essentials. There's a compass in there. But compasses are sooo 19th century! In the 21st century we use GPS.

For barometer readings try one of these free barometer apps.

Lol yeah I'm with you on the compass. Was really more of a curiosity thing. The barometer however, is cool.

I note you said "thanks" but there is no mention of "to whom"...

Most forums, and this is one of them have a "THANKS" button. That is the appropriate way to give thanks to someone if a post you are reading helps you. It is a measure of whether the time the poster takes to write that post is worthwhile.

also, if you really LIKE a post, click on that button also. I frequently click on both buttons, especially when I find a tid bit that really helps me, or I see a poster who really gave someone some good advice. On the latter type posts, I click the LIKE button because I like the way that poster went out of his/her way to provide accurate and helpful information.
