New AT&T Software Update - Problem

I did a complete wipe of the phone, which is why I didnt have anything on there when the update was complete. If you had backed up with Titanium Backup before the update, you can install a custom recovery, then flash SuperSu and get Root back. From there you can then use TiBu and get your data back as well. This is what I have done. I now have my phone setup the way it was before the update. Just have to customize my home screens.

They should really change the message to "their is no update for your phone at this time". ...the current message is kind of misleading and seems to confuse too many people.

I updated to jelly bean without too much trouble...........had to reconfigure my widgets.

What an annoying error message. It is amazing neither Samsung or ATT could explain it. Thank God for forums

At 5:45 CDT, I received a notification of an AT&T software update (36.58 MB). I was on wi-fi, and the message said I needed to stay within wi-fi range. Performed update... "Optimizing 152 applications". Now, Android version is still 4.0.4, Kernel version is 3.0.8, Build number is IMM76D.UCMB4.

When I realized that it wasn't Jelly Bean, I synced via Kies to see how it showed phone status. Kies says "Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies." It shows that I AM connected, but now something's out of sync. (And I can't even tell what the OTA update was.)

Anyone else?

I am not happy with the new software, can I get the original software back? I purchased this unit because I liked how it was, who are you to decide what looks or works better!
