New Bass Control Feature for Pixel Buds A

Open up the settings for the pixel buds and check for a firmware update. It might not be available to you yet. I just received mine this morning. Make sure you take at least one bud out of the case to force it to check for an update.

It says firmware version of the buds and case is 3.233.0, but no update available.

Hopefully you will get it soon.

On another note, I can confirm the feature is working where the buds will automatically connect to the next to last device if the last device is not found. Very helpful when I connect the buds to my computer and want to go back to using them with my phone.

Thanks for your help. I will keep an eye out for the update.

I just installed the Pixel Buds A firmware update and also installed the December Android security patch and updates. I've restarted my phone several times since these installs.

I am not seeing the bass slider control in my Pixel Buds A app.

I have sent Google a feedback email.

I've had two Pixel Bud app updates last week on my Pixel 6 Pro. No slider. It will arrive for the buds or the phone when it arrives. Probably a typical Google roll out. Maybe with the December 12 update supposedly arriving for the Pixel 6 series tomorrow will bring it.

I'm in some sort of limbo--I don't have the bass slider and meanwhile the bass boost and adaptive sound controls are grayed out, so I don't have those either.

Have you received the latest update for the Pixel Buds app? You won't see the slider until you get the update for the app. It's not available to everyone yet.

That is the firmware of the buds themselves. There is a separate update for the pixel buds app. Seems that you need to have both in order to see the bass slider.

If I go to Google Play store, find Google Pixel Buds app, I do not see an option for me to update. If I check the update version I see 1.0.390955707, last updated on August 21, 2021.

If I press and hold the Google Pixel Buds app icon on my home screen I see an option, "App Info". If I tap on App Info I see I have ver. 1.0.390955707.

Looks like I'm up to date as far as my ability to be updated is concerned. I guess I have to wait for the update to roll out to me?

The Pixel Buds update finally arrived. Took awhile to update. It'll be interesting to hear what difference the slider will make.

Yes, you just have to wait it out. I am still waiting for the updated app also.
