Found these camera sample comparisons between the M9 and the M8. Way better than the M8 but don't have any low light samples. If you can't translate the M9 are on the left.

The pics were posted 3/12 which is recent. If those m9 pics are real and taken using auto mode, then I am pretty much satisfied with the camera. I also like the idea of taking 20 megapixel shots because I nearly always try to see if framing could be better after cropping a little.

The PS4 is way better than Nintendo NES too, but you should compare PS4 with an XBOX One or Gaming PC!
Comparing a 20mp camera with a 4mp one is futile, we should compare with S6 and Note 4

Thanks for doing the leg work and finding these. Your efforts are appreciated. I can say that for me personally, based off of these samples, the camera will meet my needs for the majority of my normal usage.

Totally in agreement! I get great shots with my M8! The pixel count will help with pics of my three boys. I'm excited.

As a matter of fact, the IP6 and S6 wiped the floor with the M9 in the video I saw.

The M9 can't shoot low light pictures because ultrapixel is gone. When you really want a good picture it will be in a low light setting and you'll have to use an M7/M8. The M9 should out perform the M8 in every aspect, but it can't.

The problem I see is,your post is indicating that your opinions are based off of one video. I would not be able to base my opinion off of 100 videos, let alone 1. I think most people would rather see it in hand, holding it then judge for themselves. I'm not going to let even Phil or Jerry or some guy from GSMarena dictate which phone I buy. Or you for that matter. I respect Phil and Jerry's opinion. I've been following android central for quite a while now and they carry a lot of weight with their reviews. That's still not going to hinder me from getting this phone. It's not going to stop a lot of people from getting this phone. Different strokes for different folks!

All I am doing is to provide information to those who may be interested in the M9. I happen to like HTC phones and I am trying to make up my mind on what would be best for me. But if in my research I run across something that may help others I will post it here. If you don't care for the info I provide you do have a choice to not read and post a reply.

Wow! First camera samples I saw looked pretty bad. If this is what the camera can do, I'll be pretty happy (coming from iPhone 6 Plus). Noise levels are a little higher, but not terrible. I'm planning to get this phone right when it comes out.
I really like what HTC is doing with BoomSound speakers (bezel doesn't bother me). Side facing speaker on my iPhone is horrible and have to cup it with my palm to bounce the sound every time. If I can also have a decent camera, solid metal build and smooth UI, i'll be very happy!

The newer sample shots seem better but still, they really aren't any better than what my Galaxy S5 can already take. If I'm going to get a new phone (and I am), I want improvements all around. Not just a faster CPU, more RAM, and the same camera. I'm also not pleased with the picture of the water fountain (OIS would have helped that), the building outside (OIS or ultra pixel would have helped), and I would like to see other pictures that were taken with moving subjects (like pets).

Thank you!!! Even more ammo for pulling the trigger on the M9 on day 1!!!!!!!! This camera is going to be a much needed upgrade from my M8 . Those pictures look fantastic!!!
