New CM7 Ring Lockscreen icons?

I hate the "bubble" rings, but love the functionality of them. I've tracked down where in a I.H.O. CM7 rom the images are located and wish to replace them.

Is it a simple matter of replacing the files in the rom before flashing to change the rings?
