New contacts appear twice

I have been manually loading new contacts to my new Galaxy s7. Some, but not all now appear in a section called "new" highlighted in pink, as well as with the full list of contacts. How do I get rid of this "new" list but retain the contacts in the main section?

View or interact with that contact. Should make the "new" disappear.
