New contacts fail to save

Hey guys, so like the title says, all my new contacts fail to save. When I enter the name and number, then hit Done, I get the "New contact saved" msg. But, a few minutes later, the contact is gone. Any ideas?

Not sure. Have you tried it backwards, gone to Google on a desktop and created a contact there?

No I haven't. If its that complicated, where I will have to add contacts THAT way, ugh, then...I mean, when I'm at work, I don't want to have to write names and numbers down when I've got a perfectly good smart phone. Well, thanks for the reply.

Well, I've tried Textra. I had the same issues. I then switched back to Hangouts and the issue returned. Any recommendations on contact application?

Also, Make sure your google account is syncing. (Settings, Accounts, google) Look to see when it was last sync'd.
If there are problems you may want to sign out then back in to get it going.
