Is anyone else seeing a small white/gray dot when you tap the screen since the update? I'm in dark mode so it it is a lighter color.

To clarify -- you're saying there's a small dot that appears exactly where you touched?

Not noticing on mine as well. Probably you have elaborate more on where you see this.

Do you have the Developer Options enabled? If so make sure this option is disabled.

I'm seeing it anywhere I tap on the screen whether or not it's a text entry area. Also see it on the keyboard. I can't do a screenshot since my power button is broke. Already talked to Verizon and the new, warranty replacement is arriving Monday. Not a big deal but it's something I've never seen before.

Did you check developer settings like it was posted above?

I don't have developer options turned on but when I get the new phone I bet it will not be there.

I see the option, in Developer options. Not sure why I would want to enable it. There must be a reason for it existing??

I have it enabled because I like to see if my taps are being registered in the exact place I'm actually tapping on the screen.

If you're recording your screen, it can be helpful to show where the user is tapping.

as an actual developer you might just want to verify with that option that all is going accordingly
I think they're called developer options for a reason with only little of them being really interesting or useful for power users

^^This. They didn't call them "Fun Features For The User To Fiddle With.":p

The show touch is mainly a developer tool to visually see touches. Like B.Diddy said, screen sharing is probably the only real non developer use for it.

Sometimes we have used those two 'Drawing' options when parts of the screen seem unresponsive. They can be helpful to detect a hardware problem.
