New DX.. Gmail Question

Hi everyone, I have a quick question.. I just recently purchased the droid x and noticed that my gmail wasn't refreshing, it's like set to manual refresh or so it seems.. Is there anyway to change this?

From the home screen hit menu. Then hit settings and go to accounts. From there hit your google account and make sure the checkbox is checked for gmail.

Also, bring up your power control widget and put in on one of your screens. Make sure the circle with the arrows going around is checked. This means auto-syncing is on.
