New Evo shipments?

Maybe I should stop by again and start being a bit pushy and see where it gets me. I just can't believe the Pleasanton store on Johnson Dr just haven't gotten any. Every time I go in and just ask, not telling them I'm waiting for a replacement, they all say no those are on B/O.They have to be getting a few in here and there.

I had a Blackberry tour until yesterday. Wednesday I woke up and needed an evo so i called like 6 sprint stores. One of the sales reps told me to cal around 12:30-1:00pm eastern time, as that's when they usually get shipments. I called my local sprint around 12:35pm eastern time yesterday and picked my tour up and was all activated by 1:15pm. I'd advise calling daily around the time they get shipments. good Luck

Well I guess I got lucky I called my local BB, they had one left, held it for me, and I went and picked it up. My entire search and pickup lasted about an hour.

Still Waiting

Here in Las Vegas, there are none to be had. I have tried to call both all the local best buys and sprint stores, along with stopping in at a few Sprint Resellers. I got the same story, none to be had, care to be put on a waiting list? I called around to find out who had a short waiting list, and now still using my Palm Pre, while I Wait. If I wasn't in Las Vegas, I would probably have gone with the new Droid X, but Vegas has WiMax 4g, so it is worth waiting for a EVO.

I went to best buy here in the bay area and they had a few evo's there. I was told most of them were for pre-orders and only had two or three for walk in customers, so I know those were gone in a heart beat.

We get shipments in every day for the most part. Usually anywhere from 5-10 per shipment....but we still can't keep them in stock. Best Buy where I am has only the white ones in stock.

Sprint is spending a LOT of money on an item they don't have.

Just for fun I stopped in at the local sprint store, and the attached picture is what I saw. What marketing idiot decided to market the heck out of the EVO on TV, and the expensive display at the store when they still don't have any?

It has nothing to do with Sprint, so them marketing is apart of the job. It's a new device, and this is what's supposed to be done. The main issue is the suppliers HTC is using for screens. They keep getting jipped and lead along, and basically not putting the foot down. So it's not even HTC... It's the screen suppliers they are using. Which I hope for the future, they find more reliable suppliers.
