I would try this calibration tech. I grabed this from the EVO 3D forums and it seemed to work pretty well over there.

My Calibrating Technique
1. Charge until 100%
2. Power off (while still on the charger) and wait until the led turns green (may take a while)
3. Unplug and let sit for 5 min (while still powered off)
4. Plug back in again until led turns green again (while still powered off)
5. Power back on
**If you have 100% after powering back on then you should be good to go... If not repeat these steps again.**

Well once the battery gets to 90% it jumps straight to 100%. So ill give it a try and well see what happens.

Okay so I tried that. My phone will reach a 90% charge then jump right to 100%. Is there any good way to calibrate a non rooted phone?

I've noticed this as well. May be hardware. Download Current Widget from the market. It'll give you a true representation of when the phone has completely charged (while plugged in, it'll show 0 ma). As for calibration techniques, they are around. They involve draining the battery until it has turned off and charging it, uninterrupted, until full. Have a look around.

EDIT: Here's an example
