New Firmware Pushed This Morning

Sweet updating now!. But where is GB! HTC should have pushed GB along with this patch since a few newer phones already got GB! Come on HTC & VERIZON I wan't my Gingerbread!

I had to turn off wifi for it to recognize the update and start the download. Not sure if this helps.

Error Service unavailable here. tried reboot to no avail. im in AZ, is it possible it is a rolling update?

I have the same issue in So. Cal. Been that way for weeks. My son's TB shows the same thing, so I don't think it's the phone?

Thanks...Assumed as much, but this is my first rooted android phone.

You shouldn't have any trouble getting the update. What will happen is that you will LOSE root and have to do the process ALL over again once a root is found. So as long as you didn't out right delete the bloatware and can put it back into place ... you should be able to upgrade JUST fine.

I always move the bloatware to /sdcard/bloatware just for these purposes.

In Pennsylvania, I get the box that says "checking for new software available now" and then it either just disappears, or a new box pops up that says "service unavailable". Hmmm....

I'm in Los Angeles. Not that location matters from what I've read on these updates...

But mine says:

Error

SERVICE UNAVAILABLE
Check for Software Update under
Settings when service is available

My update screen has said this for weeks now. It used to say "No update available..." when I first got the phone but now it just says the above message when I try to manually update. Anyone know what's up with this message?

None of them are actively trying to get help either.
