New Forum Design: Official Feedback Thread

NOT liking the new design, waaaaaay too many ads. I haven't even looked to see if I can go back to the list view because the layout is so jumbled. I'd rather not even visit. The aesthetics of the previous layout provided a clear view of the content which placed the site above other sites. Now, with the jam packed content and with every other usable space spammed with ads, it has become another unusable site a la android authority.

Not clear why the design had to change. What was wrong with it before?

For days now when I've been waiting for the site to be "fixed". Using Firefox the whole page is just a hot mess. Big dead spaces, take longer to load etc. I kept thinking it will be fixed soon.

Come to find out that this is the "new look" !? Yikes. Not a fan at all. The last version was perfectly fine and easy to ready. Not the case with this mess of an "update". Two thumbs down.

The site design is pure cancer. I get the need for ads, but this is way over the top. This used to be a user friendly site that I frequented regularly, but I mostly avoid it now. Between the ad cancer and the unnecessarily ubiquitous, highly unhelpful, and generally snooty "ambassadors" or whatever they're called, this place has gone to [impolite term removed].

I never used any ad blocking software... until I visited AC.

Just sayin' - it be over the top.

Mobile app is not working forums as read, uses more bold font

I assume there had to be backend needs and changes to the site - cut down on server side maintenance and stay current with supported tools and security? Always a concern with any online site and forums especially.
