New Galaxy Tab 8.4 S, have a few questions about android

Just purchased this tablet and have numerous questions but I'll only ask 3. I seem to be stuck in landscape mode, shouldn't it automatically recognize when it is being tilted and if not is there a setting I can adjust? Virus protection, always used Blackberry's and never worried about viruses and never had any. I'm pretty certain that's not the case with Android though I could be wrong. If I am not can somebody recommend a free virus/malware protection program? The third question is can you delete, hide the second panel containing Galaxy gifts/essentials/my library? Any help would be most appreciated.

1. Yes it should switch between portrait and landscape. Slide down the notification panel from the top of the screen (slide your finger from the top middle of the screen) and make sure the "Screen Rotation" icon at the top is highlighted green.

2. I have never bothered with virus protection, but I am sure there are some out there.

3. Long Press on the panel and then slide it up to the highlighted rubbish bin at the top of the screen.

Thanks for theminformation, it was a big help. So I don't bother others with simple questions is there a i faq i can use?
